Small Scale Farms #everybodyeatsniagara

Small Scale Farms has fed over 10,000 families in the Niagara region this past year with the "Pay what you Can" Saturdays - as well as the "Food Fed Forward " program where someone buys a $40 bag of produce, and someone else gets fed.

I'm Alicia!  I  have been volunteering at Small Scale Farms for the past year.  I have personally seen and felt the love from those in this community who have needed a helping hand.

Small Scale farms is not a charity, and as Renee Delaney, owner and founder of Small Scale Farms puts it - "the Charity model is broken ". What we really need NOW in this community is a "sustainable food system" where we can get fresh and LOCAL produce to the people of Niagara, from the local farmers here in the region who also need the support.

Small scale farms is a sustainable food system run by volunteers, who are paid in food, and who LOVE being part of what Renee has been building for the past 7 years.

WE NEED YOUR HELP.

With Growth comes costs. The PAY WHAT YOU CAN Saturdays have been feeding families in Niagara for $5 a bag of produce if that is what they can afford. The cost of the Bag is $40 but #everbodyeatsniagara !

I have seen firsthand how much this has helped our community and I want to do more!

With the increased volumes and the HEAT we are experiencing in Niagara - we desperately need a Walk-in Fridge. We also need a Truck!

As a volunteer, I am looking to raise $20K to support this growth so that we can keep feeding Niagara and supporting our local Farmers!
